Why is research needed?

This is unacceptable. The young bodies of survivors are often damaged due to the current treatments of radiation and chemotherapy. Research can provide less toxic and more targeted options producing better results with less side effects.

 

43 active multi-year research grants for a total of $27 million are currently being funded specific to childhood cancer with the American Cancer Society.

Be the voice for kids and advocate by joining the American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network (ACS CAN). You will be notified when legislators are making important decisions on funding cancer research and other issues regarding childhood cancer.
